Theseinstructionscoverthebasicprinciplestoensurethesatisfactoryinstallationofthestove,

althoughdetailmayneedslightmodificationtosuitparticularlocalsiteconditions.Inallcasesthe

installationmustcomplywithcurrentBuildingRegulations,

LocalAuthorityByelawsandother

specificationsorregulationsastheyaffecttheinstallationofthestove.



ItshouldbenotedthattheBuildingRegulationsrequirementsmaybemetbyadoptingtherelevant

recommendationsgivenincurrentBritishStandardsBSEN15287‐1:2007design,installationand

commissioningofchimneysasan

alternativemeanstoachieveanequivalentlevelofperformanceto

thatobtainedfollowingtheguidancegiveninApprovedDocumentJ.

Werecommendthatyouseektheservicesofaninstallerwhoisconversantwithstoveinstallations

andBuildingRegulations.Theshopwhereyoupurchasedthestoveshouldbeabletohelpinthis

respect.ItisourgeneralpolicytosupplyspecialistFireplaceshopsandtheseshopscanofferanafter



salesserviceandofferadvicewhennecessary.

COAlarms:‐

Buildingregulationsrequirethatwheneveraneworreplacementfixedsolidfuelor

wood/biomassapplianceisinstalledinadwellingacarbonmonoxidealarmmustbefittedinthe

sameroomastheappliance.Furtherguidanceontheinstallationofthecarbonmonoxidealarmis

availableinBS

EN50292:2002andfromthealarmmanufacturer’sinstructions.Provisionofan

alarmmustnotbeconsideredasubstituteforeitherinstalling theappliancecorrectlyorensuring

regularservicingandmaintenanceoftheapplianceandchimneysystem.

IntheUK,thestovehasbee napprovedbyHETASLtdasanintermittentoperatingappliancefor

burningwoodlogsonly.Fortypetestingaprototypesamplewasused.BroseleyFiresconfirmsthe

specificationoftheproductionmodelisnotdifferentincriticaltechnicalaspectstotheprototype

sampletested.
