WARNINGNOTE



Properlyinstalled,operatedandmaintainedthisappliancewillnotemitfumesintothedwelling.

Occasionalfumesfromde‐ashingandre‐fuellingmayoccur.Howeverpersistentfumeemissionis

potentiallydangerousandmustnotbeignored.Iffumeemissiondoespersist,thefollowing

immediateactionsshouldbetaken:‐

a) Open

doorsandwindowstoventilatetheroom.

b) Letthefiregoout

c) Checkforflueorchimneyblockageandcleanifrequired.

d) Donotattempttorelightthefireuntilthecauseofthefumeemissionhasbeenidentified

andcorrected.Ifnecessaryseekexpertadvice.



The

mostcommoncauseoffumeemissionisfluewayorchimneyblockage.Foryourownsafety

thesemustbekeptcleanatalltimes.



COAlarm



YourinstallershouldhavefittedaCOalarminthesameroomastheappliance.Ifthealarmsounds

unexpectedly,followtheinstructions

givenunder“WarningNote”above.



Useoffireguard

Whenusingthestoveinsituationswherechildren,agedand/orinfirmpersonsarepresenta

fireguardmustbeusedtopreventaccidentalcontactwiththestove.Thefireguardshouldbe

manufacturedinaccordancewithBS8423:2002,Fireguardsforusewithsolidfuelappliances.

Aerosolsprays

Donotuseanaerosolsprayonornearthestovewhenitisalight.

Useofoperatingtools

Alwaysusetheoperatingtoolsprovidedwhenhandlingpartslikelytobehotwhenthestoveisin

use.

ChimneyFires

Ifthechimneyisthoroughlyandregularlyswept,chimney

firesshouldnotoccur.However,ifa

chimneyfiredoesoccurturntheaircontrolsettingtotheminimum,andtightlyclosethedoorsof

thestove.Thisshouldcausethechimneyfiretogooutinwhichcasethecontrolshouldbekeptat

theminimumsettinguntilthe

fireinthestovehasgoneout.Thechimneyandfluewaysshouldthen

becleaned.Ifthechimneyfiredoesnotgooutwhentheaboveactionistakenthenthefirebrigade

shouldbecalledimmediately.

Afterachimneyfire,thechimneyshouldbecarefullyexaminedforanydamage.Expert

advice

shouldbesoughtifnecessary. 
